Mineral cars (hoppers) are enclosed railway wagons designed for bulk transport of mineral fertilizers and other loose materials that require protection from atmospheric conditions. They are equipped with sealed loading hatches on the roof and unloading hatches at the bottom of the body, which can be operated either mechanically or manually.
