For the exterior surface of tanks

According to the project, we need to paint the exterior side of the tank with a total dry film thickness of 160 µm. Please advise which materials are best to use for this.

Presumably, the designer specified this thickness based on the HA2 environmental class, according to the operating conditions, in accordance with CH 2.01.07-2020. We recommend considering a coating system consisting of 1 layer of epoxy primer‑finish coating ARMEPOX 243 mastic (100 µm) + 1 layer of finish polyurethane enamel ARMOPUR® DTM 113 SEMI‑GLOSS.

When performing AKZ repairs, the customer, in order to reduce the cost of the work, proposes to replace abrasive‑jet surface cleaning with simply washing the surface with high‑pressure water. Recommend a primer‑finish coating after such preparation.

Undoubtedly, the durability of the coating in this case will be lower than with abrasive preparation. We recommend using in this case an epoxy primer‑finish coating ARMEPOX 243 mastic.

The project specifies a rather rare color from the PANTONE color catalog. Will we be able to match such a color of polyurethane enamel?
