Polyurethane LCMs differ from other types of coatings by their exceptional elasticity, high wear resistance, and superior resistance to atmospheric effects and UV radiation.
Precise dilution is important not only for polyurethanes; epoxies also require accurate mixing. The manufacturer carefully calculates the component ratios to ensure proper chemical reaction between the resin/base and hardener. Imbalances in the ratio lead to defects such as incomplete curing, brittleness, or cracking. The durability of the finished coating is significantly reduced. Note that the ratios may be specified by weight or volume.
Airless application is typically used for painting volumetric objects and large surfaces where high gloss and enhanced decorative properties of the finished coating are not required, such as when painting a car body. At the same time, the thickness of a non‑dripping layer and its durability are important. ARMOPUR DTM 113 is an excellent choice for airless application. In a two‑layer application, it can be used as a standalone coating.
